Modern Country Charm

J/S
Blue Hill at Stone Barns
Pocantico Hills, NY
Set against the stunning backdrop of Blue Hill at Stone Barns, one of the region’s most renowned farm-to-table estates, this wedding brought the best of both worlds—glamour and rustic charm. High school sweethearts at heart, the couple arrived in a pristine white Rolls Royce, bringing an air of polish to the countryside, yet their effortless connection spoke volumes of their down-to-earth nature. The bride’s favorite flower, Wax Flower, became the ceremony flower of choice. Its delicate blooms, so country in essence, took on an unexpected chicness when woven into every detail: a clutch of Wax Flower in her hands, a boutonniere on his lapel, and bushels and bales lining the natural sisal carpeted aisle, transforming the tented courtyard. The Wax Flowers, in their abundance, even attracted butterflies, as if nature itself were joining in on the celebration.

After the intimate ceremony, guests made their way to the HayLoft, where the warmth of the space was enhanced by the couple’s carefully curated palette of soft peach, dusty rose, rich merlot, and lush garden greens. The loft’s beamed ceilings paired with cross-back wooden chairs, while low floral arrangements allowed for conversation to flow freely. Dahlias from a local organic farm, tinged Hydrangeas, white Winterberries, and feathery Astilbe created an intimate garden vibe, while some tables showcased floral-scape garlands that stretched from one end to the other. Others were dotted with flowers, interspersed with the glow of tall celery green taper candles set in antique silver candlesticks, surrounded by silver mercury glass votives in various sizes creating a warm and inviting ambiance.
