Beaux-Arts Splendor

E/J

New York Public Library
New York, NY

In the hallowed halls of The New York Public Library, where Beaux-Arts grandeur meets quiet elegance, a love story unfolded with an air of sublime romance. The bride, a vision of ethereal beauty, exuded the grace of a woodland nymph, her ivory gown floating like a whisper in the space. In her hands, she cradled an unexpected posy of Chocolate Cosmos—velvety, dark blooms that contrasted perfectly with her gown’s delicate hue, adding a layer of depth to the overall enchantment. Her connection with her partner was palpable, each glance and embrace between them radiating an intimacy that could not be ignored.

Every detail of the day felt like a carefully written passage, from the antique horticultural illustrations that became escort cards, to the vintage birdcages adorned with flowers and taxidermy butterflies, dragonflies, and beetles. A subtle arch of flowering branches marked their vows beneath the soaring ceilings of Astor Hall, before guests walked through candlelit corridors to discover the hidden magic of Celeste Barton Forum.

Long tables were dressed to the nines in embossed crème-on-crème full-length tablecloths and were adorned with rich florals in wine, blush, and mossy greens, while round tables in timeless ivory and green flowers provided a harmonious contrast. Hydrangeas, garden roses, and ferns created an intimate garden, while Bernardaud china and sterling silver flatware added an exquisite touch to the already breathtaking setting.
