A Golden Age for Today

A Golden Era Wedding at the Iconic Rainbow Room

Belle Fleur had the extraordinary honor of designing a wedding that brought a new level of boldness and refinement to one of New York’s most iconic venues, the legendary Rainbow Room. Inspired by the glamour of the Golden Era, this celebration paid tribute to the city’s heyday while embracing a fresh and fearless vision. It was also a landmark moment for Belle Fleur: our first wedding in over 30 years where we designed in such a fabulously chic and vivid color, canary yellow. The result was an event that radiated joy and sophistication, blending historical charm with a contemporary sense of style. This unforgettable celebration belonged to A and Z, a couple whose love story deserved a stage as iconic and radiant as their vision.

Ceremony in the Sky: Elegance and Intentionality

The charisma of the bride, as stunning and striking as the Calla Lily itself, set the tone for a celebration that embraced the bold elegance of the Art Deco era. A, dressed in a sleek, bejeweled gown by Naeem Khan, exuded modern glamour with timeless grace. Her bouquet of sculptural white Calla Lilies, spiraled into an oversized bloom, became the perfect accessory, its clean lines echoing her couture ensemble. Grouped together, the Lilies formed a singular statement piece of pure beauty.

The ceremony was held at sunset on the 65th floor, surrounded by breathtaking panoramic views of Manhattan. We crafted a custom chuppah made entirely of clear Lucite, chosen for two intentional reasons: to ensure guests had an unobstructed view of the couple and to let the sparkling skyline remain a central character in the ceremony. To preserve these stunning views at The Rainbow Room, the Lucite chuppah was framed at the base of each four posts with clustered displays of long-stemmed white Calla Lilies. Their sculptural simplicity echoed Amanda’s bouquet and framed A and Z without blocking the view, creating a striking yet intimate moment. With guests encircling the couple, the golden sun poured through the transparent frame, turning the ceremony into something cinematic and deeply personal.

Ballroom Reveal: A Golden Transformation

As guests entered the ballroom, they were met with an explosion of gold. Canary yellow flowers brought vibrancy and life to the space, instantly elevating the mood. Some floral arrangements stood tall, with an umbrella of Oncidium Orchids mimicking golden flowering trees that soared overhead. Others were low, mono-botanic compositions of yellow blooms, artfully varied from table to table while remaining perfectly coordinated. Yellow, A’s favorite color, was thoughtfully woven throughout the entire celebration, marking the very first wedding Belle Fleur ever designed in this sunny, exuberant hue.

The round tables were draped in Missoni-inspired gold and white sequin cloths, paired with custom white leather chairs and sleek gold oval tables that glimmered under the lighting. Every table setting was layered with tall crystal candelabras, faceted votives, and slender taper candles, casting a warm and luxurious glow across the room. A and Z, as radiant as their golden palette, brought an electrifying energy to the room, filling it with love, laughter, and undeniable style.

A Love Letter to New York, Reimagined

This wedding was more than a celebration. It was a reinvention of the New York wedding, told through color, texture, and architectural intention. By honoring the skyline views, embracing the modernity and drama of Calla Lilies and Orchids, Belle Fleur curated a design concept that felt contemporary and unforgettably classic. A and Z’s wedding captured the city’s soul at golden hour, romantic, refined, and absolutely radiant. A true New York love story reimagined for today.
